Glaucoma is a simister disease. In this the pressure inside the eye
(intraocular pressure) increases and causes damage to the optic
nerve which slowly causes blindness which starts from the side &
involves central
part later on; so patient does not come to know of vision loss for a
very long time & has tubular vision.
Glaucoma is also called the silent thief of vision and leads to
permanent loss of vision. So glaucoma should be diagnosed
early and treated early. Also since it is hereditacy disease the
blood relations of the patient should also be examined so that
the disease is diagnosed and treated early and vision loss is
